    Meadowbrook Elementary School

    Meadowbrook “continually” nurtures “academic excellence” and “embraces community involvement, unique programming, and individual strengths.” Principal Jessica Barry says, “It is essential that inspiring children go hand in hand with excellence because only through caring and connecting first will each child reach their ultimate learning potential.”

    Lowell Elementary School

    Lowell Elementary School Principal, Laurie Pogorzelski, earned her Bachelor of Science in Education from Mount Mary University before attending Cardinal Stritch University. She earned her Master’s in Educational Leadership and Director of Curriculum & Instruction License.

    Before Waukesha, she was St. Francis School District’s Elementary Principal and Director of Instruction. Today, she is honored to be a part of Lowell’s “vibrant learning community,” where “passionate, professional staff” are “committed to making our school an exceptional place to learn and work together.”

    La Casa de Esperanza Charter School

    La Casa de Esperanza Charter School was founded in 2015. The school offers a dual-language program for grades K4 – 2nd and 7th grade, English language instruction, and “a rigorous curriculum.” Additionally, the Charter School provides “year-round programming, a safe environment, character education, family involvement, and community partnerships.”

    Butler Middle School

As someone who loves “setting new personal goals,” Higgins plans “to model this passion for excellence with the entire Northstar Community.” 

    Higgins believes “positive relationships between home and school is crucial in maintaining a positive school culture.” It is essential students enter school every morning “feeling welcomed, connected, and safe.” Children should leave school “feeling successful and prepared for a new challenge in life.”
